Lumina Emotion was created by psychologists Dr. Stewart Desson and Julie Ensor (MSc) and is derived from Dr Desson’s Ph.D. research.
Lumina Emotion uses the Big5 personality model to show that personality qualities underlie most of the traditional emotional competencies. Lumina Emotion takes a holistic and balanced view, recognizing that all traits can be useful and effective in their way. For example, both introversion and extraversion can contribute to emotional intelligence in different contexts, while many traditional models suggest that extraversion is more important.
Lumina Emotion rIt reveals three emotional personalities: underlying, every day, and overextended, and shows how socially desirable traits that are often perceived as keys to emotional intelligence, when exaggerated, can work against it. Similarly, underappreciated traits that traditional equalization models don’t often see as driving emotional intelligence can become sources of emotional strength. Lumina Emotion innovative approach is fully compatible withLumina Spark and they can be used separately or together.
